Raab Verlag had noticed the sign of the times. They were looking for a partner capapble to digitize the B2B catalogue business of the successful Munich-based advertising material company – with some very special requirements.
The business should no longer be directed only at business customers. This meant that the shop had to meet both B2B and B2C demands. A big challenge, especially for our UI/UX team.
The printing and mailing of individual greeting cards had to offer more possibilities for customization and at the same time be massively accelerated. It used to take 14 days for customers to receive their cards, which could only be designed to a limited extent.
Our solution would have to digitize the entire ordering process. This also included an interface to the existing merchandise management system and the automatic creation of printing data.
In consultation with the customer, we opted for Magento as base for the new shop. In Magento, the possibilities for individualization are virtually unlimited – ideal for the special needs of Raab Verlag.
Shops for B2C markets are usually very different from those designed to address corporate customers. After extensive research, our design team developed a UI and a Customer Journey that successfully lead both B2B and end customers to conversion.
The core of the shop: the custom-built configurator for individual greeting cards. With this configurator, the design possibilities are almost unlimited. It is directly connected to the printing press via an API, which immediately processes the data automatically prepared by the configurator.
The configurator has proven to be a powerful process digitizer: it now takes a maximum of 48 hours for customers to receive their individual greeting cards – seven times as fast as before.
Raab Verlag has developed into a well-known online shop. This applies equally to both corporate and end customer business. Thousands of satisfied customers have been supplied since the launch and attest Raab Verlag a score of 4.9 out of 5 on Trusted Shops.
Of course, this is also an achievement of our customer. But without the right tool it would not have been possible.
