The Raab publishing house came to us with a problem. We turned it into a success story.

Challenge
The Raab Verlag had recognised the signs of the times. A partner was sought to digitise the successful Munich-based B2B catalogue business – with some very special requirements.
The business was to no longer be aimed solely at business customers. The shop therefore had to cater to both B2B and B2C needs. A significant challenge, especially for our UI/UX team.
The printing and dispatch of individual greeting cards needed to offer more design options while also being massively accelerated. Previously, it took 14 days for customers to hold their partially customisable cards – far too long in today's world.
Our solution had to digitise the entire ordering process. This also included integration with the existing inventory management system and the automatic generation of print data.



Technology
We decided, in consultation with the customer, to use Magento as the basis for the new shop. The possibilities for customisation are virtually limitless with Magento – making it ideal for the specific needs of Raab Publishing.
Shops for end customers often differ significantly from those aimed at business clients. Therefore, our graphics team developed a UI and customer journey after extensive research that successfully leads both business and end customers to conversion.
The centrepiece of the shop: the specially developed configurator for personalised greeting cards. With it, the design options are nearly limitless. The data prepared by the configurator is delivered directly to the customer via an automated process through the printing machine.
Results
Our e-commerce strategy has proven to be a powerful process digitalisation: it now takes a maximum of 48 hours for customers to receive their now truly personalised greeting cards in the post – seven times faster than before.
The Raab Verlag has developed into a reputable online shop. This applies equally to both the corporate and end customer business. Thousands of satisfied customers have been supplied since the launch, and they attest to Raab Verlag on Trusted Shops with a score of 4.9 out of 5.
This is, of course, also due to our client. Without the right tools, it would certainly not have been possible.
